In early 2011 Absolute was approached by one of the countries most successful packaging originator and graphics management specialists who were experiencing difficulties with their existing solvent contractor.

The company was a large user of Gravo-sol washout solvent and had a still on-site to process their waste. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the still was unable to recycle the waste as quickly as it was generated. The existing solvent supplier was able to supply virgin solvent top-up, but was also unable to cope with the volumes of dirty solvent for recycling that it was sent. Waste solvent was backing up on their site and could not be processed for return quickly enough.

At this stage, Absolute was contacted to supply Gravo-sol and collect the waste as it was produced. Absolute has the largest facility in the UK for the processing of flexographic washout solvents and can recycle up to 25 tons per day of waste Gravo-sol. Additionally, with three deliveries every week to the North, supply and waste collections were able to be managed more effectively.
